The Head of the OECD Working Group Drago Kos will acquaint the Kazakhstan civil servants with the best international experience in the sphere of anti-corruption policy.

The Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Astana Regional Hub, Alikhan Baimenov, met with the Chairman of the Working Group of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on the fight against bribery, Drago Kos. During the meeting questions about the fight against corruption in transitional societies, and measures for ensuring transparency of adoption of administrative decisions were discussed. Also institutional aspects of corruption prevention and a way of further cooperation in assisting in the efforts of state agencies on implementing the Plan of the Nation of “100 concrete steps”, concerning the formation of a modern state machinery, and the development of a transparent and accountable state. Mr. Kos noted the importance of implementation of measures directed on increasing the efficiency of the government in ensuring transparency and accountability of state agencies, the press service of the Astana Regional Hub of Civil Service has reported.

During this visit, Drago Kos, will also hold meetings with the Minister of Civil Service Affairs, Talgat Donakov, and the Rector of Public Administration Academy under the President of Kazakhstan, Bolatbek Abdrasilov.
