Background
Development of civil service in the most competitive countries is closely connected to the introduction of new conceptual approaches, stemming from the intention to raise efficiency of state apparatus and reduce the budget expenses while supporting constant improvement of public services.
Systematic improvement of professional work of civil servants in order to improve the quality of public services requires the use of modern technologies and innovative approaches.
At the annual Global Conference within the framework of AEF the innovative methods of further civil service improving, raising the quality of public services and a broad involvement of citizens in the decision-making process will be discussed in a constructive manner.
The aim of the Conference
Exchange of experience, discussion recommendations on application of modern approaches for increasing civil service efficiency, professionalism of state apparatus and innovative methods of civil servants’ capacity building.
Participants of the Conference
The Conference is organized by the Ministry of Civil Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Academy of Pubic Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Regional Hub of Civil Service in Astana, UN Development Programme in Kazakhstan.
Participants include the heads of the authorized bodies in the sphere of public service; the representatives of international and various non-governmental organizations, academies, schools and institutes for training of public servants from South Korea, Singapore, France, EU and CIS, Regional Hub participating countries, as well as prominent Kazakhstan practitioners and scientists are invited to take part in the Conference to share their experience on introduction of innovations in civil service.
Expected number of participants is 250 people.
Expected Outcomes
- Development of recommendations for search and application of innovative approaches for improvement of civil service in light of new economic reality
- Studying the international experience in applying new capacity building techniques in civil service
- Further strengthening of expert network for exchange of knowledge and experience in the sphere of civil service.
