Practitioners and academics from the participating countries of the Regional Hub of Civil Service in Astana (ACSH) and beyond are invited to submit their papers, case studies, and book reviews for the next issue of the International Journal of Civil Service Reform and Practice. Any papers related to the issues of civil service development including, but not limited to, human resources management, performance appraisal, training and development, anti-corruption, ethics, etc. are welcome.


Please substantiate your policy analysis with tangible policy recommendations. Manuscripts should not exceed 8,000 words including abstract, endnotes and references. Submissions must include a one-page (maximum) abstract of the paper with author’s contact information. Citations must follow the social science author-date method in the Harvard style. Authors are also encouraged to submit their book reviews (max. 1,500 words). Manuscripts should be submitted electronically
