On February 26, 2018,  Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Astana Civil Service Hub Alikhan Baimenov met with Rastislav Vrbensky, UNDP Deputy Regional Director for Europe and the CIS, at the premises of the UNDP Istanbul Regional Hub.

The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation in facilitating the civil service  modernization and expressed interest in organizing joint events and research activities in this field. Representatives of UNDP noted that the Astana Hub has reached a new level by becoming a global center for accumulating knowledge and experience in civil service development, uniting 38 countries, including the countries in the US, the EU, the CIS, the Caucasus and the ASEAN.
